Germany offers you fantastic regions where you can enjoy the freedom on two wheels. Whether it's the exciting mountain world of the Alps, maritime feeling on the coasts or the hustle and bustle of the country's big cities: On your bike, you can discover Germany in a completely different way.

The Alps

In the German Alps, there are some attractive alpine roads waiting for you. A particularly beautiful route is located between Bischofswiesen and Ramsau. The very good quality road is ten kilometers long and lets you enjoy a great view at an altitude of 1045 meters. On this low-traffic route, you drive both omega and 90-degree curves and have a maximum gradient of twelve percent.

Two hills and relaxing straights complete the varied character of the road. Surrounded by impressive mountains, abundant greenery and flowing streams, you can see for yourself how beautiful the German Alps are. You can take a relaxing break in one of the inns.

The Eifel

The legendary Nürburgring is located in the Eifel. Bikers like to do their laps on their motorcycles on the track where many Formula 1 races have already been held. But the Eifel has even more to offer with its mountains, valleys and volcanoes. Long curves, serpentines and hairpin bends make the Volcanic Eifel a popular region for motorcyclists.

A tour with Daun as the start and finish point is conceivable. On the way, you will pass towns such as Kyllburg or Prüm and drive along imposing lava bombs, a crater lake and blue-green maars. The Vulkaneifel Nature Park, founded at the end of May 2010, is a real tip among bikers. There you can discover the geological traces of the region.

The Ore Mountains/Elbe Sandstone Mountains

In the east of the republic, the Ore Mountains and the Dresden region invite you to go on a motorcycle tour. Your starting point is the Fichtelberg in Oberwiesental, from where you head for Dresden's Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Then continue to the border of the Czech Republic. Your reward: you admire a magnificent landscape and pay a visit to the baroque city of Dresden.

In the Erzgebirge/Vogtland Nature Park, the landscape is characterized above all by extensive spruce forests. In contrast, a mix of table mountains, gorges and plains await you in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. That is the charm of Saxon Switzerland. Driving through Dresden's city center, you will visit sights such as the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger or the Semperoper. This motorcycle route is therefore very varied.

Hamburg – Berlin

A motorcycle tour from Hamburg to Berlin is less about beauty and an interesting landscape, but rather about the attractiveness of this route because it connects the two major German cities in only about three hours. To do this, you drive on the motorway, which of course cannot keep up with the other beautiful routes in Germany.

However, the city tours in the metropolises are then particularly worthwhile. In Hamburg, highlights such as the Alster, the Reeperbahn or the Elbphilharmonie are worthwhile. The capital attracts visitors with the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag or the Berlin Cathedral. You will make stops in parks such as the Tiergarten.

The Lüneburg Heath

Motorcycle tours in the Lüneburg Heath are characterized by the fact that they lead through flat, wide country. In the midst of beautiful vegetation, you will see numerous villages in typical regional architectural styles. Final destinations for you could be the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen or the Heide Park. Egestorf is the start and end point of the 233-kilometre route. On this tour, the focus is on the view of the blooming heather. You will be amazed, especially between Soltau and Schneverdingen. You will also pass places such as Buchholz, Münster and Amelinghausen. There you can visit half-timbered houses, climb up to the 129-metre-high Brunsberg or visit a tank museum.

The North Sea

A fresh wind blows around your nose when you decide to take a motorcycle tour from the Kiel Canal along the numerous fishing villages. But it is also possible to take a long tour of the North Sea, on which you leave 360 kilometres behind and which lasts several days. The latter, of course, only if you take your time to look at places like St. Peter Ording. If you concentrate on pure motorcycling, you will cover the distance from Friedrichstadt to Wilhelmshaven faster. Cities such as Wingst, Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven or Heide are waiting for you along the way - and at the same time authentic fishing ports, historic old towns and the highlight of the North Sea: the tides. Maybe you cool your feet in between on a guided mudflat hike?

The Baltic Sea

A dream by the sea will come true for you if you plan your motorcycle tour along the Baltic Sea coast. The starting point can be Boltenhagen, but the marzipan city of Lübeck further west is also suitable for this. If you want to travel straight on to Poland, make stopovers in cities such as Travemünde, Wismar and Kühlungsborn. Rostock and Warnemünde invite as well as Stralsund and Greifswald.

Świnoujście on Usedom is the perfect destination. If you prefer a one-day tour, there is no way around Rügen. The start and finish are in Glowe. On the way you will see the chalk cliffs and places like Lietzow or Sellin along with their sights. Cape Arkona is also a must. Visit fish smokehouses, marvel at castles and even hike the Königsstuhl: All this is possible during a motorcycle tour on the Baltic Sea.

Rhine-Moselle

In the Rhine-Moselle region, all bikers who love descents and inclines get their money's worth. One conceivable route is the so-called Two Rivers Tour on the Rhine and Moselle. It is about 400 kilometers long and has its beginning and end in Frankfurt am Main. It goes through the Wisper Valley and through places such as Lorch, St. Goarshausen and Braubach.

Koblenz, Cochem and Rüdesheim also serve as stopovers for many motorcyclists. There is a lot to see besides the rivers and vineyards. Castle tours, such as the Marksburg in Braubach, or a detour to the Loreley definitely spice up the breaks.

The Black Forest

A romantic tour by motorbike is on the agenda when you drive through the Black Forest. Here, many a biker decides to start his journey at Schluchsee and end in Grafenhausen. The Schluchsee is the largest lake in the Black Forest and just as much a highlight as the castle in Bonndorf. The Japanese Garden with tea house and pavilion is also suitable for a stopover.

There is another castle to see in Tiengen. The route is winding and lined with picturesque places. Her gaze always wanders into the distance, where mountains and valleys seem to alternate. You will quickly notice: The Black Forest is not considered a stronghold of motorcycling without reason.

The Taunus

The Taunus is ideal for you as a motorcyclist if you like winding routes. In total, the Lahn measures 242 kilometres before it flows into the Rhine at Lahnstein. The landscape is characterized by lots of greenery and also offers you a lot on a historical level. Castles, castles and places steeped in history make the banks of the Lahn attractive attractions.

On the route you will get very close to cities such as Limburg, Weilburg and Marburg, where you can fortify yourself in restaurants and stroll a little. Despite the many curves, you can build up higher speeds with the bike, such as when riding on the Hochtaunusstraße. The view of the landscape around the Lahn is also worthwhile.
